About Suzan Cotellesse

Suzan CotellesseHaving grown up in a military family, moving every few years and living in many foreign countries, Suzan learned to adapt, embrace change and develop people skills rapidly. Life experiences have taught her to be mindful of her body, mind, emotions and spirit, and to accept her challenges as part of being alive.

She believes it is important to avoid getting stuck in “why” things happen, and instead to develop insights and skills for living in present time. She also acknowledges how life has molded her into the compassionate student of human nature she strives to be.

Suzan has always been fascinated with words, both spoken and written and she appreciates how words can communicate the depth and complexity of the human condition. Her chosen career paths are paved with words: from high school English and history teacher, to school counselor, to psychotherapist, to coach and consultant, and finally, writer. Her passion to understand and communicate the human condition supports the workshops and courses she has created, the articles she has written and the two memoirs she is writing.

Her varied work experiences span over 40 years. Suzan’s intention is to assist individuals, couples and groups through personal and professional challenges. She earned a masters degree in Educational Counseling Psychology and then became a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Licensed Supervisor for LPC Interns in the state of Texas.

“To thine own self be true, and it must follow as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.”
